SPF Sunscreens

Sun Protection Factor (SPF) is found in your sunscreen products. SPF Sunscreen is vital to protect and block sun radiation from our skin on a daily basis.

The sun produces two types of radiation – UVA  which contributes towards signs of ageing and UVB is more responsible for the burning element. A broad spectrum SPF is ideal to protect against both.

Alternatively there are actually two different types of SPF?

Physical – uses Zinc Oxide and Titanium Dioxide. Sits on top of the skin and reflects UV away. Suitable for sensitive and babies

Chemical – Uses ingredients like Avobenzone, Homosalate and Octocrylene. Absorbs UV and converts it to heat. Lightweight product.
